Ingredients
A - Dry ingredients (sift together)
- 2 cups flour
- 1 1/2 cups sugar
- 3/4 cups cocoa powder (Hershey's or Vochelle)
- 2 tsps bicarbonate of soda or baking soda
- 1 tsp salt
- 2 large eggs
- 1 cup buttermilk
- 1 cup Mazola oil
- 1 cup boiling water
- 2 tsps vanilla extracts
- Preheat oven to 150 C
- Pour the wet ingredients onto the dry ones
- Mix at medium-high speed until all ingredients are blended and smooth
- Fill baking cups 2/3 full with batter
- Bake 25 - 30 minutes
- Cool completely before frosting
